Remembering former Union Minister for External Affairs Sushma Swaraj on her birth anniversary, the Confederation of Young Leaders (CYL) remembered her being India’s articulate voice globally and serving the country in varied capacities. In 2020, the Central government conferred the Padma Vibhushan, the country’s second-highest civilian honour on Sushma Swaraj.

In a solemn tribute to the invaluable contribution of former External Affairs Minister late Smt. Sushma Swaraj to Indian diplomacy, the cause of the Indian diaspora, and the ethos of public service, it has been decided that the CYL led the Indian Institute of Governance and Leadership (IIGL) would launch Smt. Sushma Swaraj Scholarship for select individuals across globe, an official statement said on Sunday.
