High Commissioner of Mauritius to India, H.E Mrs. Santi Bai Hanoomanjee met with the Chairman of the Confederation of Young Leaders (CYL) and Director of the Indian Institute of Governance and Leadership (IIGL) Mr. Himadrish Suwan. The discussions focused on building closer cooperation in the areas of people-to-people exchange mechanism, culture, education, and tourism with young people at its core.

Till recently, H.E Mrs. Santi Bai Hanoomanjee served as the Hon’ble Speaker of the National Assembly of Mauritius and the Minister of Health; the first woman in the nation’s history to hold the position. H.E Mrs. Hoonamanjee also happens to be the first cousin of the Prime Minister of Mauritius, H.E Mr. Pravind Kumar Jugnauth.

H.E Mrs. Santi Bai Hanoomanjee became the recipient of the country’s top honour when she was elevated to the rank of the Grand Commander of the Star and Key (GCSK) in recognition of her contributions to public service, political and social fields.
