Malta’s High Commissioner to India, H.E Mr. Reuben Gauci met with Chairman of the Confederation of Young Leaders (CYL) and Director of the Indian Institute of Governance and Leadership (IIGL) Mr. Himadrish Suwan on Friday at the Malta High Commission, New Delhi. The discussion focused on building closer cooperation in the areas of people-to-people exchange mechanism, culture, education and tourism with young people at its core.
Chairman Suwan recalled his fond interaction with the former High Commissioner of Malta to India, H.E Mr. Stephen Borg. India and Malta enjoy friendly and cordial relations. India was one of the first countries to recognize the independence of Malta in 1964 and established diplomatic relations with it in 1965.
