The President of Afghanistan, H.E Mohammad Ashraf Ghani’s Youth Representative to Asia (Youth High Council), Mr. Nazir Ahmad Yosufi called upon Chairman Mr. Himadrish Suwan through video conferencing earlier today.
The Youth High Council (YHC) was established under Article 64 of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, based on Presidential Decree No. 83. It held its first meeting under the chairmanship of H.E Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, the President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan on March 28, 2021.
Nazir Ahmad Yosufi, who is also the founder of the Afghan National High School in Kabul briefed Chairman Suwan on the ongoing security situation in the country and the achievements of the Youth Council.
“The condition in Afghanistan has not been good. The Taliban forces have been targeting potential youth and forcing them to leave the country. We thereby, look forward to solidarity with India”, said Nazir Ahmad Yosufi.
On discussing an approach towards a better futuristic relationship, Nazir Ahmad Yosufi added, “Modiji is my role model and I believe that India can be of great help to the youth of Afghanistan. Through the means of education and entrepreneurship offered by India, the Afghani youth is bound to receive food, not once but for a lifetime”.
‘’We believe any peace process must be Afghan-led, Afghan-owned and Afghan-controlled & preserve the progress made. The interests of minorities, women, youth, and vulnerable sections of society must be preserved and the issue of violence across the country has to be effectively addressed.’’ said, Chairman Suwan.
‘’We wish success of the Intra-Afghan negotiations in delivering to the people of Afghanistan what they have longed for – a peaceful and prosperous future in an independent and sovereign nation.’’, added Suwan.
Chairman Mr. Suwan was assisted by Mrs. Roshni Rani, Ms. Dhanashree Bonde and Ms. Shubhangi Chakravarty from the Confederation of Young Leaders.
