Director of the Indian Institute of Governance and Leadership (IIGL) and Chairman of the Confederation of Young Leaders (CYL), Himadrish Suwan on Wednesday said, “Youth must take inspiration from the visionary life of the first man in space, Yuri Gagarin whose pioneering mission remains the crowning accomplishment and a major source of inspiration for the entire world at large”.
In an address to a 2021 virtual orientation of the Indian Institute of Governance and Leadership (IIGL) attended by scholars, researchers, students, freshers, and the academic community, Suwan said, ” He (Yuri Gagarin) is fondly remembered as the man who paved the way for India’s first space traveler Rakesh Sharma as well as India’s space research projects.”
Suwan, also the Advisor at the Confederation of Indian Universities (CIU), added, “Russia is truly a force of good for the humanity at large which as a key global center is raising the United Nations prestige, the spirit of multilateralism, reducing international tensions and searching for collective responses to global challenges.”
Suwan urged young people to study the incredible journey of the first man in space, Yuri Gagarin.
